The first actor in Mexican Gold Cinema, Andrés García, had for some years already commented on his desire to capture part of his career on screens in an autobiographical series. On this occasion, the soap opera heartthrob did not hide his enthusiasm to be part of the creative direction of his bioseries and to start getting the casting, of which he gave some details.

It was in an interview with the evening program, De Primera Mano, that the renowned histrion first acknowledged that in order to be part of the production he hopes to feel full of health, since a few months ago he had presented some problems related to the spinal cord, a situation that was destroying his red blood cells.

“I want to wait to walk a little better because since I want to be the general director, you have to walk a lot because you have to make every scene, you have to teach the actors, it won't be easy for them to act and talk and act like in that time... I'm going to wait a couple of months, see what happens,” said Andrés García.

Later, the actor who starred in the multi-award-winning film, Chanoc (1967) confessed that he will finance and produce the entire series of his life.

“I hope I don't get that expensive because I know a lot about the business, I don't find it difficult, the task of directors is, they spend an hour or two watching where they put the camera, an approach to seeing where I put the camera, for me it won't be that difficult, although it's always a lot of work,” he argued.

On the other hand, the renowned Mexican performer delved into the actor who will star in the series about his life: “I think I already have it, but he doesn't know it, his dad is my friend... I guess if he accepts he would be the main character, he would play Andrés García as a young man,” he said.

Finally, when Andrés García was asked to reveal the name of the actor who has filled his eye to play it, he answered the main problem is that the young man he is interested in starring in his work does not dedicate himself to acting: “No, he does something else, it's something I have to talk about with his dad”, emphasized the actor 80 years old.

To the surprise, the hosts of Imagen Televisión showed interest in knowing who is the young candidate of the histrion. And this is not the first time that someone close to Andrés García's environment wants to play the role of the histrion that Pedro Navaja starred in (1984).

It was his firstborn son, Leonardo García, who in a last interview with Ventaneando, stressed that he had a genuine interest in bringing his father's life and work to life in an autobiographical series. However, he had already given the indication that this would be very complicated because his father was the one who was writing it.

He is his producer, it's his life, it's his series and he decides his things, I don't, I say, I support him, I tell him I think, that everything, but the final decision is made by him,” Leonardo stressed for the program hosted by Paty Chapoy.

Andrés García's biographical series will supposedly address the most important moments in the actor's life, his achievements, disappointments and all his affairs, as well as his relationship with some figures in the Mexican show such as Verónica Castro, Luisito Rey, Luis Miguel, Jorge Rivero and Lucia Mendez.

It is worth remembering that the news of his bioseries has taken hold in recent months after the health complications that the actor has presented, including in a last interview for Telemundo's program Al Rojo Vivo r acknowledged that he was already thinking about his death.
