A policeman from Mexico City suffered severe head injury after being hit by a private ambulance during the afternoon of this Wednesday, March 30, as the emergency unit was moving in the opposite direction on Cuauhtémoc Avenue in the Roma Norte neighborhood.

The officer belonging to the capital's Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC) was injured when he was run over while traveling on an ATV belonging to the dependency; while the ambulance driver would have barricaded himself inside the unit to avoid being arrested.

The SSC reported on the incident by means of an information card, in which it was reported that “Paramedics who arrived at the site, assessed the cash and diagnosed him with severe head injury, so he was immediately taken to a hospital for prompt medical attention.”
