Among the artists featured at the awards gala of the 94th edition of the Oscars was a Colombian. Not only did Will Smith and Chris Rock get all the attention, but Sebastián Yatra was also present, who since his arrival on the red carpet, attracted attention with a pink tuxedo made by the Italian firm, Moschino.

Once on stage, she performed the song 'Dos oruguitas', which is part of the soundtrack of 'Encanto' and which was nominated for an Oscar in the category 'Best Original Song', failing to take the statuette. However, the artist dazzled not only by his vocal talent, but also by the outfit he wore, which consisted of a dark blazer with a long tail and which, on the back and sides, had several yellow butterflies embroidered, which symbolize in the feature film the miracle of life and family union in the midst of difficulties.

But his show did not stop there; on the contrary, the Medellin citizen continued to give something to talk about behind the scenes, because through his Instagram account, he let it be seen that his emotion was overwhelmed, so much so that he began to cry while clinging to a chair located in his dressing room.

“It's going to take me a while to assimilate this... Thank you to everyone who accompanied me today, thank you Colombia, thank you Disney, thank you Lin-Manuel, Thank you 'Encanto'... THANK GOD”, he wrote at the foot of the publication.

The artist was surrounded by members of his work team, who asked him how he felt on the stage, to which he replied, with a handkerchief in his hand, “look how I felt” while continuing to kneel at the back of a chair. Since the first moment he sang the hit composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, several of them showed that Yatra's hand was shaking with which he held the microphone.

The video of the emotional moment after its presentation generated, in less than 24 hours, more than five million views and nearly 17,500 comments, many of them highlighting the show of the performer paisa.

Renowned figures such as Rossy de Palma, Lele Pons, Like Mike, Carmen Villalobos, Llane and Gusi reacted positively to the publication, while other users commented: “Enorme Sebas! Enjoy it that you deserve it!” ; “Bro, you broke up! Proud of everything you have achieved and what you lack, my bro”; “Seeing your hand trembling grabbing the microphone in the presentation is something that represents me as Colombian, goosebumps. You made me cry, what pride”, “We cry with you with the same emotion!! What happiness! How nice the meaning of all this effort”; even, Andrés Cepeda from Bogota congratulated his colleague with a heartfelt message.

“Congratulations my dear Sebastian Yatra. You are big and your giant heart deserves so much joy. I love you, and I'm very proud of you. Hugs and celebrate!” replied the singer-songwriter.

It is worth mentioning that 'Encanto' won the Oscar in the category 'Best Animated Film'. This result was within the predictions, since the film that tells the story of the Madrigal family was the maximum option to take the statuette.

With a voice cast led by Argentinian-American actress Stephanie Beatriz along with Diane Guerrero, John Leguizamo, Wilmer Valderrama, Angie Cepeda and others, it is the first Walt Disney Animation Studios' film co-directed by a Latina woman, Charise Castro Smith, and earned the first Oscar for a Latina in the category, the producer Yvett Merino.
