In the last few minutes, an emergency plane landed at José María Córdova airport, in Rionegro Antioquia, after presenting a problem with one of the wheels. The airport is currently closed.
The emergency occurred when the aircraft registered CC-BAS operating flight LA4292 on the Medellin-Cartagena route presented a problem with one of the nose train wheels during takeoff. As a result of the situation, the plane immediately returned to José María Córdova airport where it landed at 15:12 local time, as confirmed by LATAM Airlines Colombia in a statement.
A video recorded the moment when the plane lands and you can see that the tire is on fire when it touches the runway.
The commander declared himself in emergency and received priority for landing and ground support was received by the firefighters.
According to the airline's statement, all passengers and crew members are in good health and are currently awaiting the respective overflow.
Finally, LATAM Airlines Colombia warned that it is in contact with Civil Aeronautics to provide all the information required to start the investigation process into the incident.
