Ukraine assured that a Russian commander committed suicide after most of the tanks in his unit were destroyed

According to the Ministry of Defense, only one of the 10 tanks of the 4th Panzer Division of Russia became operational, so its commander would have taken his own life.

A Russian commander committed suicide after discovering that all but one of the tanks in his unit were completely stripped of crucial parts, according to the Ukrainian army.

The Ukrainian Land Forces said that the invading forces have suffered such heavy losses that their units have been forced to obtain new military equipment stored in the long term at an airport just 34 kilometers from the border.

“The condition of this equipment is mostly extremely unsatisfactory, which makes its full use impossible,” the Ukrainian force said on Telegram.

The 4th Panzer Division of Russia “found that out of 10 'canned' tanks, only one is in a more or less operational condition. The rest are completely dismantled. Some of them don't even have engines!” affirmed Ukrainian forces.

“According to the information available, the commander of the 13th Panzer Regiment of the 4th Panzer Division of the Russian Federation committed suicide,” the message read.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared the same report, jokingly saying that “the 13th number of the regiment” had been unlucky.

According to the ministry, the apparent suicide was part of the “consequences of the liberation of Trostyanets in the Sumy region by the Ukrainian army and the defeat of the Kantemirov tank division”.

Lieutenant General Serhiy Kisel, commander of another unit, the 1st Panzer Army, was also “withdrawn from office” due to “the huge losses and failure of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the ministry stated.

“It was impossible for Russian leaders to turn a blind eye to the poor command of the troops,” the ministry said.
