The Tour of the Basque Country 2022 is preparing to hold its 61st edition. The Basque competition hopes to have some of the best of the WorldTour platoon, including two-time champion of this round Primoz Roglic with Jumbo Visma, who has just won Paris Nice last year, which makes it clear that he will arrive with the intention of going for the jackpot.
In addition to the Slovenian, the Jumbo Visma team would bet on a second trick with Danish Jonas Vingegaard, third in the Tour de France 2021. On the other hand, the English team Ineos Grenadiers, where some Colombians play, would have the two Britons Adam Yates and Geraint Thomas. However, in the list of possible players in the 6-day round, also appears the soachuno Daniel Martínez, who would also be one of the team's heads for the overall classification.
Other Colombian runners who would be performing with their teams would be Boyacán Diego Camargo with the EF Education EasyPost as gregarious of Norwegian Odd Christian Eiking.
While the Astana Qazaqstan Team hopes to have experienced Antioquia cyclist Sebastián Henao who arrived this season to support the team leaders in the high mountains as a luxury gregarious after working until the end of 2021 for riders like Egan Bernal and in years past for Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome.
Alejandro Osorio would be doing his third competition with the Arab squad, Bahrain Victorious, after having signed a contract for the next two seasons with the aim of gaining experience and demonstrating his great attributes in the European mountains as he did in the Giro d'Italia U23 in 2018.
To close the group of Colombian cyclists who would probably be in the Spanish competition, there is Sergio Andrés Higuita, who until a few days ago was champion of the Vuelta a Catalunya 2022.
