The Spanish League withdrew the two-date sanction against Colombian Johan Mojica

Mojica, who plays for Elche, is concentrated with the Colombia team for the crucial match against the Venezuelan national team in the South American qualifier

The Appeals Committee withdrew on Monday the two sanction matches with which it had sanctioned the Colombian player from Elche, Johan Mojica, after his expulsion against Valencia, the Elche club reported. Mojica was punished with two matches after being expelled with direct red in the last minutes of the match for, according to the minutes, calling the referee Ortiz Arias a “bastard”.

The club, however, demonstrated with images and with the report of a judicial expert expert in facial language that the Colombian did not say that expression, but “I crap on the hooker, man.”

After being sanctioned with two matches per competition, the club filed an appeal to Appeal on Monday calling for the cancellation of any sanction and the red one by proving that it did not insult the referee. The sports discipline body has decided to annul the sanction, considering that the expression “does not constitute contempt or disregard for the referee, and the sanction is therefore revoked”.

Mojica, who is preparing the match against Venezuela with Colombia, which is decisive for his country's qualification for the World Cup, will be able to play next day against Athletic Club in Bilbao.

Despite the difficulty of obtaining the quota for the Repechage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, especially since the tricolor team does not depend on itself to attend a world cup for the third time in a row, some players believe it is possible. Such is the case of left-back Johan Mojica, who had the opportunity to attend Russia 2018, and today he seems to be a man of confidence for the DT.

Although the 29-year-old Caleño claims to keep “faith intact” in the World Cup event, he accepted that the goal is difficult and that, to a certain extent, they are on the verge of the abyss for not having scored three points in previous matches.
