One of the most anticipated shows at the Estéreo Picnic Festival was that of J Balvin, who was part of the lineup that featured The Strokes, Foo Figthers, Martin Garrix and LP, among others. After the recent release of 'Sigue' together with Ed Sheeran, the Colombian landed the country in the middle of the controversy generated after the 'tiraera' that Residente dedicated to him in early March.
Despite that, the urban artist had a good record of his last performances in Colombia. For example, in the Super Mega Concert of the Cali Fair, he was the central singer, completely filling the Pascual Guerrero stadium; but despite singing in the capital of his native country, he did not present a show at the height of his world tours and so many attendees of the FEP made it known on social networks.
Precisely, one of those voices that reproached Balvin's performance at the event was businessman and broadcaster Julio Correal, who was dispatched in criticism of the reggaetonero, even stating on Tuesday that it was “The poorest show I have ever seen”.
“Mr. José Balvin, respect the public. Respect the Festival, but above all be respected with a show,” said the manager who, in 1992, brought the Guns N' Roses to Colombia for the first time, generating turmoil and chaos since Axl Rose and the other members of the band landed at the ElDorado airport.

That mention was on his Instagram account, where he also said that he should be respected “with a professional show, not with that crap he brought to the FEP (...) You scoundrel.” In that post, he also showed the screenshot of a trill where minutes earlier he had thrown several darts against the performer of hits such as' Ginza ', 'I told you so' and 'My people' among others.
In that Twitter post, Corral simulated a dialogue between J Balvin and his manager, mentioning that the singer would have 'taken hard' and that, at the FEP, he went with “Pope -his DJ- to talk crap and play songs” and branded them as “mediocre”.
It is worth mentioning that this was not the only publication where the music manager criticized J Balvin's performance. Last Sunday, the 27th, the last day of the FEP, he shared a tweet celebrating the presentations of C. Tangana, the Golden Binomial of America and the Bogota revelation, Ela Minus, and took the opportunity to say that the 'Child of Medellin' show was “a disaster. A lack of respect for the festival.”
On Tuesday morning, he highlighted the concert given by the national band, Diamante Eléctrico, stating that they are “world-class” artists; and after tricking the simulated dialogue between Balvin and his manager, he applauded the presentation of Machine Gun Kelly, stating that, compared to José Osorio, “He gave him all the energy”.
Likewise, during the last few days there have been many reactions from other users on Twitter who were disappointed at the presentation of the reggaetonero, calling it “Lazy”.
The disappointing thing, for many, was that Balvin presented hits made in collaboration with other artists such as Nicky Jam, Rosalia or Bad Bunny. In this way, these voices were heard, while on stage, José, with a modest staging, lent the microphone to the audience to sing. On the other hand, C. Tangana, on a secondary stage, was one of the most applauded at the Festival.
