The Colombian band Morat performed two concerts last weekend in Caracas. In the first one everything went smoothly, but on Sunday there was an incident with an armed woman who beat a young man.
The protagonist of the incident would be the escort of Chavista judge Indira Alfonzo, former head of the Venezuelan National Electoral Council and current president of the Electoral Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice. The escort would be an official of PolyCaracas.
Witnesses claim that the magistrate herself was at the concert with her sister, Yndra Alonzo, who is seen in the videos that began to circulate with a white shirt and leather pants. The magistrate is not clearly seen in the videos. However, witnesses claimed that it would be the woman seen with a hat in the images.
It all started when a young woman showed a sign that said: “Please, Martín give me a ramrod.” This is Victoria P., who narrated what happened on Twitter.
“Well, what should have been the best night of my life turned out to be crap. Today I attended Morat's concert at CCCT. I enjoyed and sang with my friends until I was hoarse and everything seemed incredible; and it was projected as the best day of my life,” he said on the social network.
According to the local newspaper El Nacional, before leaving the stage, Martín Vargas, the group's drummer, threw his ramrod at the public towards Victoria with his banner. When he fell, immediately, a struggle began between those present.
“Let it go, it's not worth it,” a friend of Victoria's told her boyfriend when she saw that one of the people, a woman, had drawn a gun.
“He pointed it directly at my boyfriend's head. NO ONE, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, STOPPED HER. Between struggles, my boyfriend received two bites, a friend a cachazo and I got a pain in the face,” Victoria followed her story on Twitter.
And he stressed: “It is not fair that they demand that you not enter even with a POWERBANK and there is someone inside with a GUN (...). I am extremely disappointed, with the morale on the floor and with the feeling that nothing good can happen in this country.”
The group itself referred to the incidents on its official Twitter account. “We just found out that someone entered one of our concerts with a gun. We categorically reject any manifestation of violence. We will always do our best to make our concerts a safe space and our music a reason for union,” he said.
He added: “As far as we know, the police have already taken action on the matter. Although we regret what happened, we are not going to let this event tarnish our memory of playing in Venezuela for the first time, because we had an incredible time. Thank you for having us, Venezuela! Incredible concerts!”
The aforementioned Victoria P. later published images of the coups with the caption: “Damages”.
And he wondered: “To what extent is this bearable? Conflicts at concerts happen I know, but how can there be a gun? ”.
According to El Nacional, security officials approached the scene of the incident to take charge of the situation following the incident. The young woman also reported that there were no members of the National Police on the show.
