Sandra Cuevas was linked to another assault

Sandra Cuevas and her former partner were mentioned as aggressors in an investigative folder of the then Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (PGJ) in 2018, in which the subject named Christian Israel Quiroz Oropeza was accused by the victim of his alleged involvement in the crime of family violence, but did not press charges against the mayor of Cuauhtémoc.

According to the victim's statement, integrated into an investigation kit dated December 2018, Sandra Cuevas and her partner have participated in an assault against her, of which there are videos and captures obtained by the female complainant.

“I had access to the video and I made the impressions that showed the moment of the aggression by my former concubinary named Christian Israel Quiroz Oropeza, as well as Mrs. Sandra Cuevas Nives,” said the victim.

He also mentioned that “With regard to Mrs. Sandra Cuevas Nieves, I have no relationship or kinship whatsoever, since she is the current partner of my former concubinary partner, but in this act I reserve the right to file a complaint or complaint against Mrs. Sandra Cuevas Nieves for an action considered a crime, which is what which I wish to express”, the statement read.

The journalist Antonio Nieto obtained the investigation kit for this alleged crime, in addition to the request for payment of pension to Christian Israel Quiroz Oropeza for the non-payment of support for his three children. In addition, he posted the alleged video of the assault on his social networks, in which it can be seen that a subject tried to remove minors from his mother's arms.

It can also be seen how a woman with a physical appearance similar to Sandra Cuevas intervenes between the two sides, resulting in the fall to the floor of the alleged aggressor, who was allegedly knocked down by one of the victims.

In another document corresponding to the victim's demand for the financial payment of alimony to the three children of Christian Rafael Quiroz Oropeza, of which those corresponding to the months of November and December 2019 and January and February 2021, as well as the whole year 2020 would be missing.

“I know that it is not the fault of the honourable Member, because my concept towards you is one of righteousness and respect, not that of the Secretary of Agreements, who from the beginning of this process showed me antipathy and I have felt blockade and tendentious handling to the detriment of my children, I do not want to think that I am colluded with my counterpart's partner (in the first attendance came Mrs. Sandra Cuevas Nieves and greeted her with a kiss on the cheek) and that is why her partial and harmful attitude towards my person (sic) is due”, was read in the letter filed before the Twenty-Second Judge of the Family in the CDMX.

Sandra Cuevas is in legal proceedings accused of allegedly assaulting three police officers from the capital, who filed complaints against her for the crimes of illegal deprivation of liberty, robbery, abuse of authority and discrimination, from which the first count was later dropped.

The mayor of Cuauhtémoc was suspended from her public duties by the judge who is handling her case, a measure that fell out of effect following the public apology of the official, who did not accept having participated in the events, but asked the police forgiveness for what they considered aggressions against her.
