The controversy of the alleged missed goal of Peru against Uruguay continues to be talked about. Well, there are those who think that the Peruvian team should be at the Qatar 2022 World Cup because of what happened last Thursday in Montevideo. This is the case of Claudio Husain, a panelist for DIRECTV, who left a striking comment.

As usual, in the 'Football Total' program of the aforementioned channel they debated what will be the last date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, where only the repechage that, at the moment, is at stake that Ricardo Gareca's team has. The 'bicolor' depends on itself to achieve the goal.

“Let Peru not be seen in the World Cup, because Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team is doing very well, they already demonstrated it the other day (against Ecuador). I think it may be a mistake, for Ricardo Gareca's team, to trust tomorrow's match. It's a deceptive and difficult clash”, started Pablo Giralt.

“I don't agree with you. For me Paraguay has no chance against Peru. The 'bicolor' played well with Uruguay... Paraguay never won in Lima by Playoffs. The 'bicolor' is superior”, Milena Gimón intervened from studies.

“Peru depends on itself. He knows it's not an easy match. But Paraguay has several significant casualties. Miguel Almirón, who played a great match against Ecuador, will not be there”, his teammate came in, highlighting that the 'Guaraníes' do not arrive with their best men.

After that, Claudio Husain pointed out that they owe a point to the 'white-red' for the bad decision of the VAR. “Peru is inside without a doubt. CONMEBOL owes it the goal against Uruguay. A World Cup is played here and there is a lot of money at stake. Peru tied in Montevideo and VAR did not want to give it”, he stressed.

“The VAR didn't give it because it didn't come in. A side camera verified that the ball did not enter. The team that has the most experience is Chile. Peru is not the same as the previous World Cup,” said Luis Fernando Restrepo. “The camera that says it didn't come in, isn't focused properly. You're looking at the second stick, Husain returned.

“I'm not saying that Peru doesn't have the best chances. I think it is 90% Peru, 7% to Colombia and 3% to Chile to qualify for the World Cup. But if it doesn't start from the focused start, it will be a difficult match, and that can play against the Peruvians,” Pablo Giralt closed.
