Peru vs Paraguay play at the National Stadium for the last date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. Today, the Peruvian national team is playing its qualification for the repechage from 6:30 p.m. before its fans and a full house is expected at the national sports venue.

An average of 2,000 police officers from different specialties of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) will provide security and protect the exterior of the stadium. Carlos Malavero Díaz, director of Transito y Seguridad, made some requests to the fans of the 'Blanquirroja' so that they can reach the match without major hiccups.

“There will be a closed quadrant that comprises Petit Thouars Avenue, 28 de Julio Avenue, José Gálvez Street and Alejandro Tirado. Let's try to give fluidity. For this reason, we ask the fans not to come with a vehicle and take a particular service,” he told La República.

The PNP has designed an operations plan for the flow of attendees to the National Stadium and recommended that they use alternate roads, such as Arequipa Avenue, Iquitos and Manco Cápac in the case of south to north.

PERU COMES OUT FOR A WIN AGAINST PARAGUAY

In search of a victory, the Peruvian team is looking for the repechage for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The team led by coach Ricardo Gareca depends on itself to secure that fifth place that gives it the right to contest the repechage with a representative from Asia who will leave between the Arab Emirates and Australia.

With the loss of André Carrillo, the Argentine strategist would start his starting squad with Pedro Gallese in the goal; Luis Advíncula, Carlos Zambrano, Alexander Callens, Miguel Trauco Trauco in defense. At the wheel, he placed Sergio Peña, Renato Tapia and Yoshimar Yotún, while his most advanced trident was Christian Cueva, Edison Flores and Gianluca Lapadula as the sole striker.

For its part, Paraguay, which arrived in the capital on Monday night, will seek to frustrate the expectations of the bicolor, according to Argentine coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto and wants to prove that it will be a “new opportunity” for their leaders.

The 'Albirroja' is already eliminated from the World Cup and the strategist is preparing for the next South American qualifiers. The coach said that this is a situation in which they “love to be” and they will “play with honesty and with maximum responsibility and professionalism to try to win”.

Barros Schelotto added that the lineup for the match against Peru will be defined “as the match approaches”, although for this match he will not be able to count on several of his figures such as Miguel Almirón, Mathías Villasanti and Gustavo Gómez, due to accumulation of yellow cards, while Blas Riveros saw the red one against Ecuador, and Robert Morales suffered an injury.

Peru qualified for the 2018 World Cup Russia by defeating New Zealand in the repechage after 36 years of absence from the event. Today he is looking for his second consecutive opportunity to attend Qatar.
