Averaging 2020, with a few months of pandemic, it was clear that in the near future fiction and documentary products about confinement and living together with the coronavirus were going to multiply. Because of this, the platforms have already released a good number of titles on the subject, but this is just beginning and Judd Apatow had to create his version. This was the path of The Bubble that arrives this Friday to Netflix.

It all started with the premiere of the trailer for Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest, a film with very good actors about which there was no news. But it was all a smokescreen or an excuse to present the first teaser of The Bubble. The film follows a group of actors who must remain inside a health bubble during the shooting of the sixth installment of Cliff Beasts and in the midst of a pandemic. It seeks to tell, in terms of comedy, what it was like for many productions to go ahead with their filming and live with the new rules of coexistence.

The Bubble, in its original title, stars Leslie Mann, David Duchovny, Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Keegan-Michael Key, Iris Apatow and Fred Armisen, among others. The incredible cast is justified by the name of who is responsible for the film: Judd Apatow. In addition to the direction, she is in charge of the production of it and is the first for Netflix and outside Universal after 15 years of exclusivity. It is co-produced by former Apatow collaborator Barry Mendel under his company Apatow Productions.

The director has a long history in the world of entertainment. He produced Girls, Freaks and Geeks, Virgin at 40 and many more. Recently premiered The King of Staten Island.
