This weekend, a new edition of the Orchestra Festival was held, considered one of the most important events in the country not only because of the number of new talents it hosts, but also because of the interest it arouses in thousands of Barranquilleros and attendees from other regions of the country.
This festival takes place within the framework of the Barranquilla Carnival, and as a great novelty for the 2022 edition, a musical marathon was held that reached 12 hours uninterrupted, also celebrating its return to the Romelio Martínez stadium.
Genres such as vallenato, cumbia, merengue, salsa, champeta and tropical came together on the same stage in search of the Congo de Oro, the highest award awarded by this event, and in the middle of the festival, a tribute was paid to Alcibiades Antonio Acosta Agudelo, better known as' Checo 'Acosta, one of the emblems of the Carnival held in 'Curramba, la bella'.
The artist has received the Gold Congo on nine occasions, becoming an ambassador of this festival nationally and internationally. On stage, the one born in the Atlantic municipality of Soledad performed the best of his carnival repertoire, taking a tour of those successes that have become inevitable during the days of revelry.

Juan Santo Domingo, Notary of Soledad (Atlántico), a lawyer specializing in Notarial Law and also a musician, was the overseer of juries.

His presentation, made in the early hours of this Monday, was followed by hundreds of attendees, and later, it remained to wait for the decision of the jury, which hours later, decreed the influencer Barranquilla as the winner.
