Since I was a child we watched that ceremony with her and the moment I stepped on stage like what did that memory come to me of so many times that I was on the other side of the screen, watching and not saying 'someday I will be there', because I didn't have my imagination,” Eugenio confessed on the call.

“Adela, since 7 or I don't remember 7 or 8 years old I used to sit and watch the Oscars with my mom, do you know how many times I imagined it? I never imagined that I would be there, never, I'm honest with you, but I said 'What will it feel like to be up there? What would it feel like to be able to receive such an award, to step on that stage? '” , he stressed.

To which Eugenio also commented that winning the most important awards in the cinematographic world is the dream of any filmmaker: “I think it is the dream of any filmmaker, in the world, of anyone who dedicates ourselves to this entertainment business”.

He noted that he and his film crew did not consider winning, since CODA was produced with a very small budget, so he considered that the members of the Academy voted honestly.

“It was hard for us to believe that it would happen, because it is a very small film, but that speaks to the fact that it was an honest vote and they did not let themselves be carried away by the big names that this film does not have any Hollywood stars, nor big budgets, nor special effects and that speaks very well of academia”, emphasized the famous.

In addition, when questioned about his experience working on this film, he stressed that it was a wonderful experience as well as a great learning experience, since he agreed to participate in the film because he loved the story, because it was inspiring.
