Easter 2022: how to get cheap flights to enjoy your holidays

According to the calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), Monday, April 11, the Easter holiday period will begin, which will be extended until Monday, April 25, 2022, so teachers and some workers have already started preparing to enjoy their holidays outside the city.

One of the most comfortable means of transport due to its speed is airplanes. However, getting cheap flights can be difficult due to seasonal demand, the schedules of each airline and even the offer of tickets online.

Therefore, one of the main aspects that you will have to consider in order to get tickets at a good price is to buy them in advance, since airlines usually sell the first tickets of the season at much more affordable costs or, failing that, they apply discounts so that families can move inside the republic or, failing that, travel to other parts of the world.

Although it is advisable to buy the tickets 21 days before the trip, you still have time to check and compare the prices of the different airlines. There are some digital ones that you can use, including Google Flightsb or Skyscanner which are designed to help travelers compare between different service providers.

It is also important to remember that it will always be cheaper to fly during the week rather than on weekends, especially on trips and short transfers. To check how much tickets cost, you could use the monthly viewing that airlines carry out with all their flights and prices, this way it will be easier to know which tickets are the cheapest.

Another aspect that you will need to consider when searching for flights online is to delete ibcookies from the browsers you use, as they keep records of searches on websites and this could cause prices to increase each time you search. You could also use browsers in incognito mode.

Another advantage of airline websites and apps is to enable notifications for the destinations you want to go to in order to receive timely notification on your mobile phone in case the price of tickets has decreased and thus take advantage of the moment to make the purchase. You can also subscribe to airline newsletters and thus review what promotions they are handling at that time.

Finally, another very important aspect when travelling is to carry out a thorough review of the baggage and ibcheck-in policies, otherwise you may be entitled to significant penalties within the airport, so it is recommended to carry your luggage with the appropriate weight and dimensions.

As mentioned above, for the Easter holidays, the SEP considered the days between Monday 11 April and Friday 22 of the same month as rest. Therefore, teachers and students must return to their classes until Monday, April 25. In addition, next May will also open with a day of rest, due to the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla on May 5.
