The second part of the final season of Attack on Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) is about to come to an expected conclusion. The anime returned in January of this year to air the last episodes that adapt the final arc of the original manga created by Hajime Isayama, and will finally end a long story that debuted in the world of animation almost a decade ago.

Since the beginning of 2022, every Sunday fans have been able to enjoy a continuation, however, last week this could not be possible. The reason? The celebration of Anime Japan, a huge anime convention that convenes thousands of fans in this country in the same style as Comic Con. Therefore, the end had to be delayed and rescheduled for the following Sunday.

Eren Jeager has activated “The Rumble” and is on his way to destroy Marley and all territories outside Paradis Island. (Crunchyroll)

On the verge of completing his story... will there be a film?

The last thing we saw from Attack on Titan was that the alliance between Marley and Eldia is aimed at stopping Eren Jaeger from carrying out the destruction of everything outside Paradis Island. Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Levi, and Hanje joined Pieck, Gaby, Falco, Reiner and Annie to end this conflict and focus on saving lives rather than ending them.

The biggest question about this last episode has to do with how everything that is missing in such a short time could be told... Speculations suggest that MAPPA, the animation studio behind this production, would be working on a film to be released later this fourth season. At the moment, this has not been confirmed and it is only a rumor that is preceded by other titles that did something similar (Kimetsu No Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen).

Could there be a movie from “Attack on Titan”? Nothing has been said yet, but there are rumors surrounding the expected conclusion. (Crunchyroll)

Attack on Titan made its leap to Japanese TV in 2013 and was based on the story of mangaka Hajime Isayama, which began publishing in 2009. Quickly, the anime gained great popularity until it became one of the most watched that same year and its subsequent seasons continued to generate expectation until the arrival of the final stretch in the fourth installment that was divided into two parts: the first was released in 2021 and the second came this year.

The story begins with the childhood of Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, when their village — which adjoins the Mary Wall — is broken into by the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan. The three friends carry this traumatic event for the rest of their lives and when they reach old enough, now becoming teenagers, they join the soldier training corps and meet more boys like them who want to defend Paradis Island from the relentless titans.
