Social media users criticized the presentation at the Oscars of 'There is no talk of Bruno'

The song had a change in its lyrics and was performed by artists who were not part of the original recording that was part of the soundtrack of the film “Encanto”

'Charm' did not disappoint. As expected, it was recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as the best animated film of the last year. The film was nominated for three categories at the Oscars, two of them for its music, and one for its production. Taking into account the popularity of the soundtrack of the feature film, the singers in charge of giving their voice to the pieces that accompany the film were invited to the evening last Sunday, March 27. On social networks, those who followed the ceremony expressed their disagreement with the version made of the song 'There is no talk of Bruno'.

Originally, the song was performed by Carolina Gaitan and Mauro Castillo, however, for the Oscars, it was decided to create a new version with other artists. To the live performance was added the presence of Luis Fonsi and Becky G. The song had modifications in its lyrics, in fact, the rapper Megan Thee Stalion added a long verse that did not originally exist in the song. Although the beginning of the song sounds the same as the version of the film, from the middle onwards the version was different, which uncomfortable fans of the Madrigal family.

Mauro Castillo, in fact, through his Twitter account, reacted to a meme that highlights the work of Colombians and questions the need to have created a second part different from the real version. In the meme there is a horse that, from its tail to its back, is drawn perfectly, however, from the back to the head it is drawn with a much less rigorous quality. “Don't be like that,” Mauro commented on the meme.

It's just a matter of going to Twitter and doing a short search to realize the massive disagreement that exists due to the change of lyrics and the choice of artists who had nothing to do with the making of the film. For many, the striking aspect of the song was the Latin touch it had from its sounds. With the inclusion of new verses and sounds, say those who are against it, a very foreign vibe was added to it. “I was just waiting “there is no talk of Bruno” for her to finally get yanked to me,” another Twitter user wrote.

Not much had passed since the release of the film when the good news about the song began to circulate. It is worth remembering that Lin-Manuel Miranda's composition entered the top spot on the Billboard 100 chart. The song has been established as the highest rated song in Disney history since 1995.

The case was not the same for Sebastian Yatra. 'Two Caterpillars', a song that lost the Oscar against 'No Time to Die', by Billie Eilish and Finneas, was performed as it sounds in the studio version. The Colombian singer stuck to the original song and was accompanied by dancers who adorned the staging with their steps. “It's going to take me a while to assimilate this. Thank you to everyone who accompanied me today, thank you Colombia, thank you Disney, thank you Lin-Manuel, Thank you Encanto. Thank God,” he commented in an Instagram video in which he is seen sitting and crying over his participation.

Yatra was a topic of conversation due to positive situations. The singer touched his followers with his performance and touched those who saw him on stage. Yatra was considerably nervous, in fact, in the video of his presentation you see how his hand shakes during his live and live performance.
