SAT: what are the facilities offered for the 2021 Annual Declaration of Individuals

Through a statement on its social networks, the SAT indicated that individuals will be able to do so from the official portal on sat.gob.mx and the specific site of the Annual Declaration 2021: http://omawww.sat.gob.mx/DeclaracionAnual2021/Paginas/index.html. Only the password is required and only in the event that a balance of more than 150 thousand pesos is obtained or if the CLABE account is changed must it be sent with the electronic signature.

Requirements for the annual tax return are the e.signature; the Federal Register of Taxpayers (RFC); Account with interbank CLABE; proof of payments and withholdings of ISR, VAT and Excise Tax on Production and Services; proof of interest received in the year, proof of investments made in the year and the payroll CFDI for wages received in the year.

In April, individuals who earned income from wages, professional services, business activities, collecting income for property, receiving interest or dividends, disposing of assets or acquiring property are declared. At the moment you can find a simulator on the official website.

The microsite reminds the population that all individuals are obliged to report on loans, donations and prizes obtained in 2021, provided that these, individually or as a whole, exceed 600 thousand pesos.

Likewise, they are obliged to report on the income obtained from the alienation of each room, inheritances, legacies and prizes obtained in 2021, provided that the total income obtained during the year exceeds 500 thousand pesos.

They also explain what can be deducted in the annual return such as medical expenses, funeral expenses, donations, tuition, supplementary contributions, premiums for medical expenses insurance, school transportation costs, mortgage credit expenses and special and personal accounts for savings; it is important to review in the SAT portal on which deductible expenses apply.

The fine for individuals who do not file the annual return ranges from 1,400 to 38,730 pesos, and there will be a fine for each declaration, application or record after the period indicated, which ranges from 1,400 to 34,730 pesos.
