David Ospina's future seems to be far from Napoli. In recent months, as they have assured from Italy, the Colombian goalkeeper will have to look for equipment for next season, because, due to his age and the release of some salary burdens, the directives of the 'Azzurri' team would not include him among their plans for the future.

Ospina will be 34 years old in August, and his contract with Napoli ends on June 30 of this year, however, this has not prevented him from being one of the team's regular starters. In Serie A he has won the match against his teammate Alex Meret, as he has played 26 matches, having so far the least defeated fence. In addition, the squad led by Luciano Spalletti remains second in the Italian championship with 63 points, three less than the leader, Milan.

With the uncertainty about their future, there are several clubs that have shown interest in seizing their services. Weeks ago it became known that Real Madrid would have put him in his eyes at the request of their coach, Carlo Ancelotti, who led Ospina at Napoli. However, according to the 'Corriere dello Sport' reported in the last few hours, the Colombian could end up in the ranks of Inter Milan.

This version is produced because the goalkeeper of 'Nerazzurri', Slovenian Samir Handanovic, has not renewed his contract either and a new agreement does not look easy to conclude. However, the Italian media claims that Ospina's potential arrival would be with the Cameroonian goalkeeper, André Onana, who currently plays for Ajax.

The portal also points out that, in principle, the goalkeeper from Antioquia would be a substitute for the African, who would assume as the starter. Inter's intention would be to have two goalkeepers that complement each other: while Onana is younger and has room for growth, Ospina could give “competition” and contribute with her experience of more than a decade in European football.

But the goalkeeper 'Tricolor' would not be the only one to leave Napoli due to the aforementioned wage reduction. Lorenzo Insigne, for example, already has an agreement with Toronto F.C, in Canadian football, to join when his contract ends in July. Belgian Dries Mertens, Algerian Faouzi Ghoulam and Greek Kostas Manolas are other players who would change their scenery for next season.

Last February, the goalkeeper of the Colombia national team spoke to the Italian portal 'calcionapoli24.it', and, when asked about his renewal with Napoli, he argued that it is not a question he thinks about much: “Contract? Today I only think about playing when I have the chance, then we sell what happens. The important thing is to do things right and win games. We'll talk about that later.”

In addition, due to his age, the footballer from Antioquia still does not see his retirement close: “My family has always been on my side, I hope that the moment of retirement is still far away.”

For now, the Antioquian goalkeeper is concentrated with the Colombia team ahead of the last date of the South American qualifiers. The 'Tricolor' will visit this Tuesday the Venezuelan national team, directed by José Pékerman, at the Cachamay Stadium, in the town of Puerto Ordaz, Guayana city. The goal: to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The team 'Cafetero', who is sixth with 20 points, will seek victory in a territory where it has not been easy to achieve positive results. Of his eight away matches against Venezuela in the Playoffs, he has barely been able to win one (5 draws and two losses). In addition, he will also have to wait for Peru not to beat Paraguay in Lima if he wants to have aspirations to go to the World Cup.
