Paint stains on clothes are often a headache for those who have lived through it. And although it may seem unusual, no one is free from this accident happening to them.
It may be a normal day, when you are walking down the street, when suddenly you feel something falling on your shoulders, or they may be remodeling your house and leaning against the wall because apparently the paint is already dry, but you realize that it is not so when you see the stain on your clothes . But don't worry because everything has a solution and here we will show it to you.
TRICKS TO REMOVE PAINT
- To remove the stain of paint you can remove the stain with a spoon or a blunt knife. The idea is that the stain does not spread more from the affected area because otherwise instead of cleaning you will end up getting more dirty. Now you have to rub very gently with an old towel so that it absorbs the paint that is now wet.
Keep in mind that this tip is as long as the paint is still fresh.
- If the paint is already dry, then you should scrape as if you were peeling that dry paint and once again you can use a brush or your nails. You should do it very carefully because you could end up damaging the fabric. Remember that when the stain is dry, the difficulty of removing it increases, so don't waste time.
- You can use warm water to make the effect faster and it should be thrown on both the front and back of the garment. Add to this a white laundry detergent and white laundry soap.
- When the area of the stain is soapy it will be time to rub it with a sponge or a brush, personally we recommend one with small and delicate bristles, this will take a little longer but will take care of your clothes. So a toothbrush you don't use may be helpful or a sponge. Rinse it and repeat this action again, maximum up to 3 times and only if necessary.
- If the stain is still present, you can wet it with ethyl alcohol in a small amount so that the garment does not end up being damaged. Another trick is acetone, but its components are very strong and can wear down the fibers of the fabric of your garment a little.
TIP: If you don't have stain removers on hand, then it's important to keep that area moist with water, until you can finally clean it.
ELIMINATES THE SMELL OF MOISTURE FROM CLOTHES
The tricks that we will give you are quite simple and effective. You can also find the products in the kitchen, in the laundry room and in various parts of your home. If you don't have them, don't worry because acquiring them is easy, due to their low cost.
1. Newspaper: Take newspaper sheets, roll them up or wrinkle them and place them under the garment that has the smell. Keep in mind that the garment can be outside or inside the closet, that's up to you, but the location doesn't affect the process.
2. Shower steam: Before entering to bathe take the clothes that smell damp, along with a hanger and hang the garment somewhere high in the bathroom or area where you shower. When we take a bath, a steam environment is created and if we take a bath with hot or warm water, the result will be faster. The steam helps to eliminate that bad smell.
3. Refrigerator: Although it sounds contradictory that a garment with a musty smell must be inside a refrigerator, this is a great option, since the cold kills the bacteria that produce the bad smell. To do this, you have to take a bag and put the clothes inside it. Then put it in the refrigerator for about an hour. As time goes by, hang it in the fresh air, either on a clothes line or in some area where the garment can be aired.
