According to the Visit California portal, 70 percent of tickets for the entire period are available since March 23 through the online page “recreation.gov”.

Additional passes will be available seven days in advance. A reservation is valid for three consecutive days with a vehicle.

Tourists who spend the night in the park are exempt from the reservation requirement. Likewise, those arriving in the morning before six o'clock and in the afternoon after four o'clock will not need a reservation for the car either.
