The eighth round of the Colombian Women's Professional Football League began on Friday, March 25, with the duel between Deportivo Cali and Real Santander, which left the reigning champions in the lead in the standings; and ended this Sunday with the match between Atlético Huila and Deportes Tolima.

The current champions of the BetPlay Women's League thrashed Real Santander after leaving the score 7-0. For the first time, Ingrid Guerra scored four goals in a single duel, which were in the minutes 14′, 26′, 30′ and 76′. In addition, Paula Andrea Medina, Jorelyn Carabali and Manuela González were the authors of the remaining three, in minutes 41′, 65′ and 72′.

With this victory, the sugar companies positioned themselves as leaders with 19 points, just like America, but they have 17 goals in favor. For their part, the Santandereans are in the number 12 box with 8 units and 9 goals against.

In Bogotá, Santa Fe beat Cortuluá 3-0. The protagonists of the goals were Paola Andrea García, Fabiana Vallejos and Nelly Córdoba, in the minutes 4′, 27′ and 89′. With this victory, the cardinals are third in the standings, 16 points and 9 goals in favor; while they are last with 3 points and 17 goals against.

On this day there was another victory for a capital team, as Millonarios beat Atletico Bucaramanga 2-1, in local condition. The authors of the goals were María Viviana Munévar and Ivonne Chacon, in the 4′ and 41′ minutes, respectively, and, on the part of the bumanguesas, it was Lorena Alonso who scored the only goal of her squad in the 82nd minute. After this victory, the ambassadors entered the first eight, ranking sixth with 11 points and two goals in favor.

On the other hand, this Sunday Atlético Nacional received the Junior from Barranquilla.
