On the one hand, Cali, the current champion of Colombian football, was in group E, which was one of the most striking in the draw for the squads that compose it. The 'Azucarero' team will have to face Boca Juniors (Argentina), where three Colombians (Frank Fabra, Sebastián Villa and Jorman Campuzano), Corinthians (Brazil) and Always Ready (Bolivia) play.
And on the other hand, Tolima, who won the title in the first half of 2021, was placed in group D. In their ninth participation in the Libertadores, those led by Hernán Torres will face Atlético Mineiro (Brazil), América Mineiro (Brazil) and Independiente del Valle in an area that, on paper, seems more accessible than that of Cali.
