The month with the most murders in Colima accumulated at least four people executed in the last hours in the state, as well as the discovery of human remains in drug war bags maintained by criminal groups that dispute the territory.
According to local reports, three bodies were located on the morning of March 26 in the Bosques del Sur colony, south of the capital. The bodies were allegedly gagged and unidentified.
Security agents arrived at the site to guard the scene in a house in the area. While expert agents were responsible for collecting evidence and transferring the bodies to the forensic medical service.
During the early morning of Saturday, there were detonations by firearms in the Lomas del Mar neighborhood in Santiago, in the municipality of Manzanillo. Officials from the state prosecutor's office came to the scene and located a lifeless man with visible impacts between corridors of buildings.
Previously, residents of the Maravillas del Campo colony, in the Miramar area, reported black bags containing human remains. Police officers came to attend to the situation and corroborated the finding.
The latter actions have not been clarified as to the number of victims, but at least one body is counted, which together with the other cases number up to five people killed in less than 24 hours in Colima.
Just this March 25, the authorities had reported that March has exceeded the first two months of 2022 in intentional homicide records. So far this year, there have been 193 executions.
