After dominating the fastest and most complicated track of the 2022 Formula 1 season, Sergio Checo Pérez will start from pole position for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, this Sunday, March 27.
The Red Bull rider returned to take a historic step in his sports career by becoming the first Mexican to win the first position of any GP. This, after recording a time of one minute with 28 seconds and 200 thousandths that allowed him to overcome Charles Leclerc (Ferrari).
Thus, Pérez will lead the starting grid for the contest at the Jeddah Circuit, followed by Leclerc in second; Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), in third, and Max Verstappen (Red Bull), in fourth.
In this way, the body of the red bull will seek to claim itself after the run over participation that left its two riders, Pérez and Max Verstappen, out of the first GP, in Bahrain - and whose podium was won by the Ferrari duo.
The competition will take place at 11:00am, central Mexico time.
