After the explosion was confirmed in the CAI of the Arborizadora Alta sector in race 42, 72b sur street, in the town of Ciudad Bolivar in Bogotá, Mayor Claudia López, Defense Minister Diego Molano, and President Iván Duque were present in the area.
The mayor confirmed that there are 11 injured at the moment, including a policeman, 5 adults and 5 minors. On Twitter, the president wrote: “We accompany the community of Arborizadora Alta, the victims and their families. We will not rest until we find those responsible.”
And he offered a reward of 300 million “to anyone who contributes information. With their collaboration we will find those responsible.”
To this end, the Mayor's Office and the Metropolitan Police of Bogotá enabled the following channels of attention to citizens to provide information about the perpetrators of the attack tonight in the CAI Arborizadora Alta.

In some of the versions that the authorities have collected, it was a hooded subject who threw an explosive that later fled. According to information from La FM, the police managed to stop him after a while.
According to the first report from the Candelaria Station Firefighters, several of his men are already in the area with a Technical Rescue Team. The area has been secured and work is being carried out to minimize risks from the windows in the windows of around 20 homes that were affected. Later, Mayor Lopez confirmed that there were damages in a total of 60.
Although the Civil Defense initially reported that there were 4 people injured, including minors, the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, later expanded the figure through Twitter: he indicated that there were seven injured, of whom two were minors. It was finally confirmed that the total number of injured was 11:5 adults, 5 minors and one police officer.
“I am in the CAI of Arborizadora Alta, Bogotá, activating all the existing mechanisms to find the miserable ones that attacked our community. Seven injured, two of them, seriously affected minors. We will be relentless against these terrorists,” Minister Molano wrote on Twitter.
Likewise, President Iván Duque is also present at the scene of the attack and, through Twitter, rejected the attack and wrote: “Together with the Ministry of Defense and the National Police, we visited the CAI of Arborizadora Alta in Bogotá, following today's cowardly bomb attack, to coordinate investigations and find those responsible. Colombia as a whole rejects terrorist acts against our public forces and the community.”
For her part, once the facts were known, Mayor Claudia López asked the neighbors to return to their homes so that the authorities could secure the place. Subsequently, the president announced a reward of 300 million pesos for information leading to the perpetrators of the attack.
The attack has already aroused the rejection of citizens and some politicians have demonstrated their repudiation of the attack against this IAC.
Enrique Peñalosa wrote on Twitter “Bullies continue to believe that this is how they will intimidate the rest of society and/or the state.”
For his part, Carlos Fernando Galán expressed his solidarity with the families of the wounded.
This would be the second attack to occur in the town of Ciudad Bolivar so far this month. It is worth remembering that an explosive device was detonated on Saturday night, March 5, in the vicinity of a police station in the Sierra Morena neighborhood.
