The Avanza País bench promotes the questioning of the Minister of Agricultural Development and Irrigation, Óscar Zea, after reveal that he has been involved in homicides, in addition to other questions that fall against him.

Congresswoman Roselli Amuruz is the driving force behind this initiative and is collecting signatures in order to summon Zea to the Congress of the Republic and to answer an interpelatory statement seeking to give the Nation an account of the serious accusations that persecute him.

“Mr. Óscar Zea is neither professionally prepared nor morally fit to serve as Minister of Agriculture, so my bench has supported a motion to interpel my initiative which is in the process of being signed to be submitted to Parliament,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

According to the initiative that Amuruz intends to present, the minister does not have the appropriate professional profile to hold the position of the head of Midagri, since he would not have experience in the sector, according to information he told the National Jury of Elections (JNE)

“Mr. Óscar Zea Choquechambi declared to the JNE that he has a degree in Education Sciences from the National University of the Altiplano in Puno, where he has completed studies for the academic degree of teacher and five academic cycles of law, serving only as a teacher at the Secondary School of Pomacca”, is read in the document.

“Faced with the crisis caused by the pandemic (COVID19) and the current war conflict over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the country is going through a difficult situation specifically in agriculture, where there is a lack of leaders in public management who may have the capacity to solve the serious problem of fertilizers and fertilizers,” he added.

Finally, he recalled that the fellow congressman of Peru Libre, Óscar Zea, faced two charges of alleged homicides, according to a Panorama report, which also stated that he was imprisoned in Juliaca prison in 1999 for the alleged murder of Paulino Zeballos Huacasi.

“All Peruvians have signed a policy of social peace, especially those who manage the enormous resources for the countryside and farmers; and, at this point, it is the case that Mr. Óscar Zea Choquechambi is disqualified,” said the Avanza País legislator in the initiative.

On the eve, his co-religionaire, Congressman Diego Bazán, announced that “Amuruz is collecting signatures for a motion for interpellation against Congressman and Minister Oscar Zea.” “Now, it is not only the Minister of Agriculture, (also) the Minister of Energy and Mines. And there are questions about some more ministers,” his fellow bench mate told Exitosa.

“We are not trying to be a Congress that tries to obstruct the Executive, on the contrary, we seek to be the best thing for our country. It is regrettable that we have to reach this situation that has never been seen before in Peru, it is not because Mr. (Pedro) Castillo is there. It's because, unfortunately, the president persists in putting people who are not trained and hurting the country.”

So far, the number of parliamentarians who have adhered to this remedy is unknown, however, Bazán commented that “it is something real” that legislator Amuruz handles.
