Over the past few days, Black Crab (Black Crab) has positioned itself among the favorite titles of Netflix users. Written and directed by Adam Berg, this Swedish-born film is an action thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world. In this context, haunted by a destructive war, a woman in the militia will have to undertake a dangerous mission to reach the end of this conflict that is plaguing human life on the planet.

“During a long and relentless winter, six soldiers must cross the icy seas and risk their lives with the mission of delivering a mysterious package that could end the fight. As they move deeper and deeper into hostile enemy territory, they have no idea what dangers await them or who they can trust,” says the official synopsis on the streaming platform.

Caroline Edh, who will lead this sacrificial task, has been a speed skater in her past, but the environment of violence pushed her to become a military woman. This time, what you need to do is completely different from your previous experiences on the battlefield, since it's just a matter of getting a job delivered. Entirely surrounded by ice, each of these soldiers will have to risk their lives and face their limits to survive and fight for a better future for Earth.

It stars Noomi Rapace, Jakob Oftebro, Erik Enge, Dar Salim, Ardalan Esmaili, Aliette Opheim and David Dencik. Swedish filmmaker Adam Berg has become known for his work directing music videos for musical bands such as A-ha, but with Black Crab he marks his directorial debut in film.

The film has been rated with 48 percent positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and 52 out of 100 on the Metacritic portal. Despite the enthusiasm it generated among viewers, the specialist critic (Empire, The Guardian and others) has not been very captivated by the plot designed by Berg and blames this effect on the development of the narrative at the doorstep of the final act. On the other hand, media such as IGN included among the most notable the performance of Rapace in the main role.

Black Crab is available to watch on Netflix since March 18.
