The visit to Poland by US President Joe Biden has left many iconic scenes, such as the one that recently went viral on social networks and which leave the first president of the United States and the Colombian soldier José Suárez Callejas, who is part of the US Army, as protagonists.

The Colombian soldier, born in Bogotá, posted on his social networks the unusual moment he had with Biden, who took the opportunity to congratulate the soldiers of his country who traveled to Polish territory to keep abreast of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In addition, they are currently rendering their services to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

The images, which have already been widely shared on Twitter, show how the head of state of the US giant greets his troops from the '3rd Expeditionary Batallion' contingent and congratulates them on their military work.

That is when he approaches José Suárez and, with his hand on his shoulder and very charismatic, praises the work carried out by both the Colombian and the other members of the United States Army.

The president of the Americans arrived in that country this Friday, March 25, at the airport in the city of Rzeszow (east), about 80 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and only two and a half hours by car from Lviv (Lviv), the great city in the west of the territory governed by Volodymir Zelensky.

There he received a report on the humanitarian response to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Ukraine and respond to the growing flow of refugees fleeing the war Putin has chosen, the White House said.

As soon as he arrived in Poland, Biden visited his troops stationed in this region as part of the deployment of 100,000 American soldiers currently present in Europe.

In addition, hours later, Biden met with Ukrainian Foreign and Defense Ministers at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Warsaw, in their first talks with senior Kiev officials since the invasion of Russia began on February 24.

During the meeting, the head of state sat at a long white table next to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken; and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Ukrainian Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, and Defense Ministers Oleksiy Réznikov, said the pool of journalists accredited to the White House covering the visit.

Shortly before noon, the press had access to the beginning of the meeting. Journalists were able to hear how Kuleba told Biden that, since the war began, he has learned to “sleep under any circumstances”, allowing him to rest during the train that took him to Warsaw.

Biden replied that he too can sleep on trains, thanks to the fact that when he was a senator, he took them daily to move from the US capital to the state in which he resided, Delaware.

Kuleba said in a tweet that the meeting with this large US delegation will make it possible to “seek practical solutions in the political and defense spheres, to strengthen Ukraine's ability to combat Russian aggression.”

For his part, Reznikov said on his official Twitter account that both ministers will be present at Biden's speech on the war in Ukraine this Saturday at 18:00 (17:00 GMT) at the Royal Palace in Warsaw.
