The Institute for Social Security and Services of State Workers (ISSSTE) approved the Annual Personal Loan Program 2022 during one session which consists of granting 586,230 credits for 35,340 million pesos through raffles with the aim of ensuring that they are distributed equally and transparently.
The first draw for personal loans will be held on April 4 and registration is from March 25 to April 3; 60,000 credits will be awarded and will be open to the beneficiaries. The results will be released on April 5, the body said in a press release.
The calendar consists of 14 draws, the last registration period being from September 1 to 15, which will be held on September 19 and the results will be published the following day. The dates will be available on the institute's website as well as on the official social networks of the organization.
The requirements for applying for it are: be at least six months old in the ISSSTE social security scheme; not have a valid personal loan or have a debt with the Institute for this purpose and, lastly, have a borrowing capacity that does not exceed 50 per cent of the worker's basic salary or or 50 per cent of the value of the pension.
The regulatory director of Economic, Social and Cultural Benefits, Yezmín Lehmann Mendoza reported that 8,266 more loans will be granted this year than last year. Three exclusive draws will be held for workers in the education and health sectors, as well as for adults over 65 years of age.
The first special draw will apply to the education sector registered until May 13, with the date of the drawing and the publication of results on May 17 on the 16th. The second will be for seniors registered until August 25, the following day the draw will be held and the results will be published on the 29th. Finally, the health sector that has registered until October 14, the draw will be held on the 17th and the winners will be announced on the 18th.
Through Twitter, ISSSTE announced that the days chosen for the special draws are aimed at commemorating Teachers' Day, Older Adult's Day and Health Worker's Day.
The registration of participation for the draws is at the following link: issste.gob.mx/asissste. If the beneficiary benefits, they will receive an email confirming the winner and will include the steps to follow to access the loan.
In order to access the ISSSTE portal and request the personal benefit, it is necessary to log in or register using the Unique Population Registration Key, then select the Benefits option that appears in the top menu and finally select the Personal Loans box. The type of loan that can be obtained is ordinary, special, commemorative or pensioner.
Ordinary loans allow the acquisition of up to 50,000 pesos with an interest rate of 6%; special loans can be up to 166,000 pesos and depend on the taxpayer's seniority; commemorative loans are credits with amounts of 42,000 to 212,000 pesos with an interest of 14% and lastly the Exclusive loans for pensioners can cover a total amount of up to 40 thousand pesos with an interest of 6 percent.
It is necessary to register an email address and a telephone number as it is necessary for the Institute to contact the winner. It is also important to emphasize that all procedures are free and personal.
