Last February, more precisely on the 26th, a serious traffic accident took place in the city of Medellín in which a woman, apparently young, ran over a man who was subsequently rammed by a bus. The woman, apparently drunk, was driving the vehicle at high speed and did not notice the man's presence in time. The passers-by who witnessed what happened were impressed by the accident and immediately alerted the authorities. According to later reports in some media in the city, the man was working in a banking institution as a security supervisor.
Recently, a video has been disseminated through social networks. It shows the right moment of the incident. The images give an account of the instant when the driver of a BMW runs over the man, who is left on the hood of the vehicle. In a few seconds, a bus that comes in the opposite direction takes the man ahead and his body is laid on the track. He dies minutes later.
According to a report by TeleMedellín, the woman flees after what happened and would then collide with at least four other vehicles. She would then be captured in frank lid by the authorities. People who witnessed all, or at least some of them, point out that the woman had already added two violations before arriving at the site. He had invaded the exclusive lane of the tram and crashed another vehicle.
The images of the video were recorded by a security camera that was located in the sector. The driver was left in the hands of the Medellín Police and is facing an ongoing investigation that includes not only the encounter with the man, but the other incidents he caused. The Information System for Security and Coexistence in the city released the case report today and clarified that it was a homicide.
“This case that occurred in the middle of a traffic accident changed its conduct to homicide at the February homicide validation table. The victim, a 40-year-old man, a security supervisor, was near his workplace when he was hit by a 26-year-old girl who was mobilizing in a car,” the SISC reported in the report. The man was identified as Elkin David C. S. The woman had her driver's license withdrawn and fined. There is still no talk of the murder charges on which he should testify.
A similar case occurred at the El Tesoro shopping center, also in Medellin. Fortunately, the incident only left people injured a battered vehicle. According to witnesses, cited by TeleMedellín, the woman was driving a white car at high speeds, despite being inside a parking lot. In a corner he lost control and ended up hitting the showcase of a dealer.
Several new vehicles were on display at the site. Luckily, none were affected. Likewise, the people around were not harmed either. The woman who was driving the car did not suffer serious injuries, even though her vehicle ended up overturned from the side, and she was referred to the nearest medical center to detail her state of health.
In 2021, also in Medellín, a vehicle, apparently armored, fell from the fifth floor of a residential building. This happened in El Poblado. The images that circulated later allow us to appreciate the moments before the fall and you can see how one person changes positions with another, in the driver's seat, and when you start you end up losing control.
