Stereo Picnic Festival revives the food industry

With the reactivation of face-to-face events in Colombia, entertainment and food sectors are joining major festivals

The Estéreo Picnic Festival arrived once again full of good artists and quality after two years of pausing the dream of returning to swing Colombians because of the pandemic. It is one of the most important music events that gathered more than 90 thousand people in 2019, its previous edition, and which generated employment for more than 10,000 people during its production will take place this March 25 and runs until next Sunday, March 27 at the Briceño 18 event center, located on the northern highway, kilometer 18, via Bogotá-Sopó .

The event, which will feature artists such as Foo Fighters, J Balvin, The Strokes, Martin Garrix, among others, announced the partnership with the iFood app with activities in the food court.

It should be noted that, in the country, the arts, entertainment and recreation sectors have been one of the most affected by the pandemic. However, according to DANE, although in the last quarter of 2019 to 2020 there was a drop of -4.6%, if we compare that same period of time in 2021 with 2020, a recovery of 34.1% is evident, exceeding the pre-pandemic figures by more than two billion pesos, a figure in which iFood has proposed to contribute thanks to its participation in some of the country's gastronomic and entertainment events.

Over the past 6 months, iFood was the ally in 7 regional festivals and events in Colombia, including Fritanga Fest (Bogotá), Medellín Gourmet, Sabor Barranquilla and Cosechando Sabores (Cali), and in 2022, the company will continue to promote support and sponsorship for events both nationally and regionally.

The company also seeks to provide support to entrepreneurs and the entire chain of work in general, which moves thanks to the holding of this type of event.
