The Senate of the Republic returned from its long months of vacation on March 16 to begin what will be the last work of some congressmen who were not re-elected in the last legislative votes for 2022 until 2026. The new congress will be set up on 20 July as is customary in the country.
However, among the works that are sought to be carried out before the end of their contracts with the nation is to propose some key issues so that work can be continued in the coming years, thus seeking to solve some substantive issues that most urge Colombians.
These could include the continuation of economic openness for much of the country, water supply for some regions, the environment, migrants, peace, outlaw groups living in various areas of Colombia, the insecurity that abounds in cities, and the strengthening of other areas such as health, education and mobility.
However, Senator Milla Romero's proposal, which seeks to make love, responsibility and respect the moral basis of Colombian households, has been heavily criticized as being, in the words of several social media users, unnecessary.
Given this, the comments did not wait on the same Twitter network, rejecting this proposal and reproaching the work of congressmen in filing bills that they say do not permeate the real problems of society.
The Senator spoke this Friday morning at WRadio to argue why she thinks it is important to file a bill of this nature:
He also added “It would not be that water (for Wayuu children) reaches them if we have honest leaders, who respect, who care, who protect the resources of their region, who love people with values, don't you think that with values you can govern?”
Milla also referred to the issue of abortion, abuses of authority, among other issues that they defend with their Democratic Center party with a trill confirming the establishment of the bill:
In her profile, users also failed to give her strong comments because of the establishment of the project, while others defended her as a hard worker for Colombia.
