WHAT IS PISCO SOUR?

Pisco Sour is a cocktail that is prepared with pisco, lemon juice and egg white. It is estimated that the first time this drink was prepared was in 1920 in a bar known as the 'Bar Morris'. The creator of this delicious drink would have been the owner of that bar, an American named Victor Morris. Over the years, this drink was declared a Cultural Heritage of the nation, so it is considered the flagship drink of our country.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Servings: enough for 4 to 5 glasses of pisco

INGREDIENTS

-6 ounces of pisco quebranta o acholado

-2 ounces of lemon juice

-2 ounces of gum syrup or two teaspoons of white sugar

-8 ice cubes

-1 ounce of egg white

-Angostura bitters (optional)

PREPARATION

1. The first thing you should do is pour pure pisco, lemon juice and gum syrup or white sugar into the blender.

2. Now you need to add 8 ice cubes to the blender, they can be a little less if you do not want the preparation to turn out so cold. You should blend all these ingredients for approximately 8 seconds.

3. After the first smoothie you should add the egg white and blend again for about 3 to 5 seconds.

4. Once everything is blended, it's time to serve the Pisco Sour. It is advisable to let the glasses or glasses cool in the refrigerator for a few minutes before, so that the drink stays cold and refreshing for longer.

5. The last step is optional, but if you want to get the classic taste of Pisco Sour, add a few drops of angostura bitters in the center as a decoration.
