Lalo España denied having run out of the role of Chespirito for bioseries

The actor assured that he continues to rehearse even in the shower for rehearsals, trying to correctly imitate the movements of Roberto Gómez Bolaños

Lalo España revealed that he continues to rehearse for the castings to play Roberto Gómez Bolaños in his bioseries, denying that an actor has already been chosen for the lead role.

Since Eugenio Derbez shared some images of a project that appeared to be Chespirito's biographical series on March 8, it was thought that Lalo España, who has shared his desire to play Gómez Bolaños, would not have been chosen to star in the project.

However, the actor commented in a meeting with the press that he thinks he will be the one who embodiesb Chespirito and that he never bothered to see that another person played Chavo del 8, since he knew that Derbez's project was not about the bioseries.

“On my part, it is a fact that I stayed, and if I stayed, how cool. But I don't know where scrubs got 'it's burn', let them show me a publication,” he said.

For this reason, he shared that he continues to rehearse even under the shower to try to copy all the movements of the late comedian. “I'm taking a bath and I'm thinking about how I did such a scene where I wanted to play more things inside. I am always very obsessive in the chamba,” he said before the camera of Sale el Sol.

In addition to this, he acknowledged that Juan Frese's work imitating Chavo from 8 in Eugenio Derbez's commercial is good, but it is not what he aspires to, because for the bioseries would have to go beyond the characters of Gómez Bolaños.

“The fact that he is someone famous internationally and that people say, 'Oh, what a good imitator you are', no. It is not a job of no longer being an imitator, it is to touch the fibers, it is to understand all the nuances, all the desire that a character has,” said Spain.

And it is that Eugenio Derbez shared on his Instagram account some photographs of a project he was working on; Juan Frese was the protagonist and was playing Chavo from 8.

Due to the expectation caused by Roberto Gómez Bolaños's biographical series, it was thought that these images were about such a project, with Derbez being the producer and Frese the protagonist of the series. However, on March 23, the protagonist of No Returns Accepted made it public that it was only a commercial that was already released.

Lalo España also reacted to this controversy, saying that they did not understand why there were people who believed that Eugenio would be the producer of the series and could do the project in a few days. He commented: “If you are smart, it is analyzed that my dear Eugenio Derbez seven days after launching his campaign puts something from 'Chavo del 8, my dream'... A bioseries won't be prepared in 10 days, 15 days, please.”

Since the end of 2020, Spain announced that, since it became known that Roberto Gómez Fernández wanted to do a biographical project about his father, he raised his hand to be part of the castings.

The Vecinos actor expressed that he has a great admiration for Chespirito for his career on television, as well as for his ingenuity to perform successful humorous characters. He prepared for a long time and auditioned at the end of 2021, personifying Doctor Chapatín, Chavo del 8, El Chómpiras and one of Los Caquitos.
