Get to know the main artists who will be on the first day of the FEP

This Friday the cartel's headliner will be the American rock band Foo Fighters. In addition, groups such as IDLES, The Libertines, Diamante Electrico, Black Pumas and DJ Claptone will be presented

After two years of waiting, the day has arrived: this March 25 is the 'Comeback' of the Estéreo Picnic (FEP), one of the most important music festivals in the country. For three days, for around 13 hours a day, more than 90 groups and soloists of different genres will perform as part of this event to make thousands of attendees sing and dance.

On the first day of EFF 2022, a total of 29 presentations will be held in the five stages set up by the organizers. On this day, the cartel's headliner, as the main artist of the day is known, will be the American rock band Foo Fighters.

For the third time in its history, the group led by singer Dave Grohl, will set foot in Colombia so that its fans can sing songs like 'Everlong' and 'The Pretender', which currently exceed more than 500 million views on Spotify. Most of the attendees are expecting to see the band this Friday night.

Colombian producer and broadcaster, Julio César Escovar, says that the Foo Fighters are “must-see”. The expert assures that no matter how many shows of this band you attend, it is always good to see them live again.

In addition to the Foo, during this first day of the festival, the participation of other rock bands stands out, but they come directly from the United Kingdom: IDLES and The Libertines. Both groups will perform for the first time in Colombia.

The former is the standard-bearer of British punk rock, known for its fast-paced and furious style in which they talk starkly about toxic masculinities, nationalist discourses or class separation. As for The Libertines, they are contemporary legends of garage rock that marked a decade and with hymns such as “Don't Look Back Into The Sun”, “Music When The Lights Go Out” and “Can't Stand Me Now”.

The outstanding Colombian share is provided by Diamante Eléctrico, which with six albums in eight years have demonstrated the restless creativity of a band that has passed through different genres and important stages worldwide. The group has won three Latin Grammy Awards.

It is also noted that to close the day, Claptone returns to FEP's Distinct World with a new album, entitled Closer, to play at Friday's closing party. The German DJ, one of the favorites of the Colombian public, who broke it with The Masquerade in 2016 will bring new house material to ignite the electronic party at the close of Friday, March 25.

In addition to those mentioned, this Friday Lucille Dupin will perform on the Adidas stage and Urdaneta on the Banco de Bogotá stage, who will open the day at 2:30pm. Briela Ojeda will also be presented at 5:45 p.m. and The Drums at 1:00 a.m. Foo Fighters, Chameleon Skin will also be presented at 4:45 p.m. and Nile Rodgers & Chic at 8:45 p.m.

The five stages will also host other artists this Friday such as Black Pumas, Las Ligas Minor, Kaytradana, Javiera Mena, Red Axes, DJ Hell, La Pacifican Power and Pancho Piedra.
