After two years of absence from mass festivals, the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez became the epicenter -these last three weeks- of the return of mass events to Mexico City. Yesterday, the fourth edition of the Coca-Cola Flow Fest was held in Mexico 2021.
Within curve 4 of the famous racing circuit, the event was attended by just over 70 thousand people, according to official sources of the organization. The festival had three stages (Coca-Cola Stage, Sprite and Dembow Hot Nuts) and an endless number of spots and establishments for fans of the urban genre to take videos, photographs and consume drinks and food.
The start of Flow Fest was marked by rigorous sanitary filters to access, the organizers asked for negative COVID-19 tests and vaccination certificates; with this, each person obtained their bracelet in addition to the “cashless” bracelet, a system for payments by chip that had already been put in place at previous events and which came in handy for reducing cash flow.
At the beginning of the festival, artists such as Salma, Lxs Minors, Eix, Matt Paris, Llane, Nesi, Blessed and Ecko were presented. The latter is a very talented rapper of Argentine origin and who, according to the response to his show on the Coca-Cola stage, was one of the first artists to liven up the arrival of the first attendees, with a trap and reggaeton show.
Very punctually, starting at 4 in the afternoon, Paloma Mami was responsible for lifting the drinks of the audience and, filling the Coca-Cola stage for the first time that day, the Chilean-born performer thanked the thousands of fans who met her at her first concert in Mexico.
Later, one of the most sought-after artists and the one who gave way to the delays, -she arrived 15 minutes late- was Mora who vibrated the main stage with the songs from her most recent album “First day of classes”, as well as giving voice to two of her most successful collaborations with Bad Bunny, Una Vez and together with Jhay Cortez, 512.
Later, attendees saw the participation of Lunay, the young Puerto Rican singer who made his fans dance with his song Soltera, while in the second most requested stage, Sprite, the attendees arrived very punctually to their appointment with Nathy Peluso who had a delay of 30 minutes. Even so, that didn't matter, because when the Argentinian came out she infected all her followers with her songs Mafiosa and Crime.
Peluso surprised fans with a song to the rhythm of salsa and took the opportunity to express that he really wanted to come to Mexico, a comment that amazed everyone who was happy to hear her sing.
After Peluso's delay, the attendees had to run to catch up with Myke Towers, who came out on stage at 7:00 and made all the Flow Fest attendees pound from the start: “Everyone to pound harder, let's go”, stressed the Puerto Rican performer.
The artist opened with some of his hits such as Subelo and Bandido. Later, his most racist collaboration with Sebastián Yatra, Couple of the Year, resounded throughout the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
Towers also left the table set to Rauw Alejandro, who played some of his hits Kill Solita, Virtual Sex, The Effect, Cure Me. And to close their successful participation in Flow Fest, Rosalía's couple sang their most recent hit, Todo de ti and asked attendees to raise their cell phones to the rhythm of the song.
Arriving at 9:00pm at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the attendees had to agree to reach a good place with Álvaro Díaz, Ozuna, Farruko and later with Wisin and Yandel.
Ozuna surprised with a spectacular play of lights and drones that adorned the sky of Flow Fest. Then he would perform his greatest hits: Vaina Loca, Te boté, Criminal, The Faker and Escapate Conmigo. Likewise, at 23:00 in the evening they awarded the reggaeton player the platinum album for their most recent album called Enoch.
One of the most anticipated groups was Wisin and Yandel, one of the most important duos of the urban genre performed on the Sprite stage and surprised by its full capacity, even the most distant parts of the Autodromo track.
“We want to take this opportunity to thank you all for being here tonight, everything that is happening with our genre is because of you,” Wisin said at the beginning of the concert, a little over an hour. The duo performed songs such as Abuser, Sexy Movement, Something I Like About You and many more.
After the end of his show, after 00:00 at night, many of the attendees began to vacate the venue, but thousands more waited to see Uzielito Mix, the Argentine rapper, Bizarrap and Jhay Cortez, who left around 12:40 in the morning and continued with the party with Level Up, Easy, among others. more.
And so, without further ado, the 2021 edition of the Flow Fest left, hoping next year to be able to return with more desire for reggaeton, life, health and joy, of course if health conditions in Mexico allow it.
