Although in their most recent match against the United States the Mexican National Team had the opportunity to secure their direct ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, a goalless draw on the court at Estadio Azteca prolonged the wait. The disagreement with the football display was once again present among the fans, who chanted the “Fuera Tata” at the end of the match. Despite this, David Faitelson came out in defense of the Argentine coach.

On the eve of the Mexican team traveling to Honduras to play the penultimate game of the Octagonal Final of the Concacaf, the ESPN journalist expressed dissatisfaction with the fans request. Although he did not take away responsibility for poor results, he suggested that the demand should also be aimed at stellar players who have not been present on the scoreboards.

“'Out Tata... Out Tata', yeah, very good. I think it's wonderful, but why don't we shout: 'Out Chucky', 'Out, Tecatito' or 'Out Jiménez'. The footballers are just as responsible as the coach of the Mexican football state,” he said through his verified Twitter account, @Faitelson_ESPN.
