I am very excited, very motivated, I have left behind a long injury and I want to announce that I am returning to the competition in Madrid,” Carolina said, at a press conference held at the Higher Sports Council. The Huelva player was seriously injured ten months ago and had to undergo surgery on June 4, 2021 when she suffered the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and the two menisci of her left knee during a training days earlier, on May 28.
