Why Lucero doesn't want to get married after ten years of dating

After 14 years of marriage to Manuel Mijares, the singer divorced and soon after she announced her relationship with businessman Michel Kuri, with whom she has already turned ten years old

After the divorce between Lucero and Manuel Mijares was announced in 2011, when the famous former couple of singers broke the news of their separation after 14 years of union, the public was shocked because together they had been a “Televisa image” of perfect marriage.

Soon, almost ten years ago, the romance between Lucero and businessman Michel Kuri began, and to this day, the couple are still as much in love as they were on the first day, as stated by the singer.

And although some versions related to their romance have emerged, such as a possible breakup due to the closeness that the singer of Tactics of War has lately maintained with her ex-husband in projects such as the reality show The Challenger, finally the bride and groom have remained united.

The interpreter has already stated on several occasions that her relationship with Kuri is serious and solid, where mutual support and affection predominate, despite the fact that the bride and groom did not want to take a step further in their romance and formalize a wedding.

That is why many fans of the actress of telenovelas such as Lazos de amor and Alborada do not lose hope of seeing her dressed as a wedding once again, although she has declared herself happy in her current circumstance.

The theme of a possible wedding is recurring, as the press has asked her on several occasions and on all of them the singer has shown her refusal to reach the altar with her boyfriend, who supports her hundred years in her career.

This time, at the reporters' insistence, the interpreter revealed whether she has an engagement with Michel, but that goes beyond a ring. Journalists questioned him why, after a decade of relationship, he still doesn't wear an engagement ring. “No man! No...”, he told Despierta América's cameras on arrival at Mexico City International Airport.

The 63-year-old businessman is Carlos Slim's nephew and is currently in a relationship with singer Lucero.

It was then that the mother of Manuel and Lucerito Mijares described what their relationship is like: “It is the commitment of the soul, the heart and so on,” she said, so she once again ruled out the possibility of a future wedding.

Previously, the singer of Electricidad had expressed that their relationship is like a courtship, where they feel in love every day without having to resort to marriage: “No, I am super happy, super in love, happy the eternal boyfriends that we say, I am very happy with him and him with me, we are still together for so long and without any change, without any difference, all right.”

A few months ago, Lucero told journalist Adela Micha that she had no intention of changing her status, as she thinks it is a better option for each of the bride and groom to live in their own home. “Not really. We don't want to get married, we're very happy that way, dating. We all live in his house and, I think he is a very father, after having had a marriage, because I am a supporter of marriage,” he explained then.

In addition, she said that since she had already been married, she could see things from different angles and with a new perspective. “When it happened (the marriage to Manuel Mijares), well in our case we divorced, we became very good friends, partners for life, parents of our children.”

Lucero then said he understood why getting married can be a goal in the lives of many people: “I think that it is already, perhaps, not a priority to get married, I don't know, for some couples yes, for others not, in our case, we are very happy to be able to have, like this illusion, you know? When you see each other, when they are together,” he said of Kuri.
