Sebastián 'Tatán' Mejía has shown that he is not only skilled at motocross tracks, a sports discipline he is dedicated to, but also knows how to cook and, especially, decorate gourmet dishes. All this has been evident in MasterChef Celebrity Colombia, a competition in which he has positioned himself as one of the favorites of the public and the best chefs; however, the athlete has a background that would explain his experience in the culinary field.

At the start of this new edition of the cooking competition for national and international celebrities, everyone said they had minimal experience in cooking, some even said they had no idea or anything when it came to making preparations. However, it is in the middle of the game that you can see who lied and who didn't.

Not only is Tatán Mejía a good cook, but he already had experience competing in a similar program. The athlete, along with his wife Maleja Restrepo, were in 2019 as contestants on 'Super Parejas', a Discovery Home & Health program in which four couples competed in a supermarket.

The dynamics of this program were somewhat similar, since the contestants had to make a market before starting their preparations, then they found some cooking stations and they performed there. In fact, in the episode in which Maleja and Tatán were participating, they were the winners.

On the other hand, the curious thing about Tatán's passing through this program, which had six 60-minute episodes, was that he shared with other participants of MasterChef Celebrity. In this challenge, celebrity couples were also evaluated by an important connoisseur of the subject, who happened to present the program and chose the winners was Christopher Carpentier, the Chilean chef who is also a jury member of the program that is currently broadcast every night from Monday to Friday on Canal RCN.

And, at that time, Tatán Mejía and Maleja Restrepo, faced the couples of Pamela Ospina and John Paul; Diego Camargo and Diego Sáenz; and Nathaly Umaña and Alejandro Estrada. Currently, the comedian Ospina is competing with the athlete in this edition of MasterChef, while Camargo was in the past.

Recently, Tatán Mejia has shared many details about the MasterChef recordings on his social networks, some of them even of alleged ghosts on the channel and the time when he had to be medically attended in the midst of the competition. But he has also responded to the bad comments and criticisms that come to him, stressing that he does not tolerate such messages.

“I want to confess that I have zero tolerance for bad comments on social networks,” the athlete replied to one of his 2 million followers who questioned him because of his opinion on criticism. He added to his reply that he has blocked more than 2,000 people from his Instagram who at some point made a bad comment to him.

He himself criticized those users of the networks who initiate their comments or messages with 'With all due respect, but... ', which for the athlete immediately means that there is no respect, and he insisted that going to his publications to do that is a waste of time. “Taking the time to comment on me, I feel like you're wasting the time you could spend with someone you really love, for example, instead of going to my Instagram to find me, give an opinion and say, 'I didn't like what happened'. I don't give a damn... I'm not going to change what I think,” Mejia said.

Tatán Mejia stressed that he is one of those creators of content who reads all the comments, but they do not affect him because at the slightest offense he decides to block, and invited people to better invest their time giving love to those who really love.
