Diego Garzón is 26 years old, he was born in the village of Querenté in the municipality of Chipaque, in the department of Cundinamarca.
Diego says that from a very young age he grew big head onions and together with his brothers they always kept in mind working to help their parents who spent many hours of the day cultivating the land and trying to give them a good lifestyle.
“I remember a lot that with my brothers and cousins we competed to see who got the most onions and that was very tasty; that's how we collaborated with them. When we returned, at night we would do homework again and that was the youth of us”, recalling their peasant origins.
This young bachelor always dreamed of being an artist, he saw many young people triumphing on television and listened to them on the radio and that is how in 2017 his stage name Pako Pa was born, becoming the first reggaeton peasant in Colombia.
Songs such as' Chiquita 'and' Sin compromiso 'are the two musical hits of the moment that have given the greatest recognition to this talented young man who has been on the main stages of eastern Cundinamarca and who now dreams of his music reaching all the cities of the country.
For the mayor of Chipaque, Camilo Albeiro Pardo Muñoz, Pako Pa is an example to follow and shows that great international talents are also cultivated in rural Colombia.
“I am very proud that Chipaque not only produces a lot of the food that comes to the table of Colombians, but that it also produces top quality talent,” said Pardo Muñoz to ponder Pako Pa's nascent success.
“I hope that just as we have given Diego a chance here, the great businessmen, mayors and governorates of our country will also fix their eyes on him and can give him a single opportunity that this young man deserves to demonstrate all the talent he has,” said the official.
Pako Pa will begin a tour of the center of the country in the coming months, as well as its music production soon available on streaming platforms.
