The unusual request that the American players made to the Patriotas players in the middle of the match

“In the second half they already talked to us a lot, that we stood still, that we were already winning the match... But one of those big teams can't go down, it's time to take advantage of those moments to settle the match quickly,” he added to the aforementioned media outlet.

When Barrios was asked about the names of some players who adopted that attitude, he replied that they were Didier Pino, a steering wheel, and Brayan Vera, a left-back and newcomer to America from Italian football.

In fact, Vera was the protagonist in the second score of Patriotas. Let's remember that America was trying to get out with the ball dominated and, when the ball went to the side of 'La Mecha', the control was long. Carlos Andrés Mosquera took advantage of the technical failure and ended up assisting Darwin López to finish the 2-1.
