Bilbao, 24 Mar International centre-back Íñigo Martínez, who missed the last two Athletic Club matches due to muscle overload, has shown improvement in Thursday's training in Lezama and aims to be available for the return of the league break against Elche in San Mamés. Íñigo participated in the first part of the session with the rest of the staff and later left to work with Dani García, another of the injured, in his case due to a pubalgia. Oscar de Marcos and Íñigo Lekue have withdrawn from training, both probably due to some discomfort that, ten days after the match, still does not rule them out to receive Elche. Neither are three other injured, three players who have not been able to attend, due to different physical problems, to the call for the U21 team of Luis de la Fuente: Julen Agirrezabala, who was not even summoned, Oihan Sancet and Nico Williams, who were called and had to be relieved. Agirrezabala, with a shoulder injury, also exercised separately, while Sancet and the Williams' little boy did not go out to the outside fields of Lezama. Unai Simón, with the senior team, Unai Vencedor, with the U21, and Nico Serrano, with the U19, have completed the casualties in this second open session held by Athletic. He will close the week with one last day of work this Friday (10.00 am) before resting for the weekend and returning the next week to prepare the clash against Elche on Sunday, April 3 at La Catedral (14.00). For that match, pending the evolution of the injured, the only safe casualty is that of central defender Yeray Álvarez, due to sanction after completing the cycle of yellow cards against Getafe.
