A Guerrero newspaper surprised by placing Felix Salgado Macedonio, the former candidate for governor of Guerrero, as one of the possible candidates to replace Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the National Palace.

According to the newspaper, it was through pollster Rubrum that it was concluded that Felix Salgado has remote opportunities to become a presidential candidate, although they do not detail whether with Morena, sheltered by another party or as an independent.

But the poll is not much different from others that have circulated on the internet, because in this case, in this case, Marcelo Ebrard, now Secretary of Foreign Affairs, is in the lead, with a score of 30.5 points.

Below is López Obrador's favorite candidate Claudia Sheinbaum Prado with a total of 20.7 points, and Gerardo Fernández Noroña with a score of 12.5 towards the election.

Also highlighted were Adán Augusto, the secretary of the interior and former governor of Tabasco, a person very close to AMLO; as well as Ricardo Monreal, the senator and leader of the Political Coordination Board.

Salgado Macedonio is at the bottom of the table where he has a total of 2.1 percent of the electorate, behind other opponents such as Lazaro Cardenas, Mario Delgado, the party's national president, as well as Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico's foreign minister to the UN; and lastly, MP Yeidckol Polevnsky stands out.

“Oh geez, I thought it would be on the list of the most wanted”; “All bad in Mexico”; “Only that would be lacking in this country of disgrace”, among others, were the first reactions of users to make it known.

But these aren't the only actors who might want the job. From the 4th, there would also be a couple of applicants who have just raised their hands: businesswoman Patricia Cabrera and businessman Antonio Pérez Garibay.

Although they did not detail the party they wish to represent, both currently belong to and are deputies for the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) founded by AMLO.

“I think that the #empresarios of #4T would play an excellent role in trying to fill the shoes of our president @lopezobrador_ so I also announce my presidential aspirations. Get up with the women!” , he wrote on his Twitter account.

Salgado Macedonio, 63 years old, was born on January 14, 1957. He is originally from the community of Las Querendas, municipality of Pungarabato, in the state of Guerrero.

Felix only joined the AMLO movement in 2018, when it won the country's presidency. Before that, he had been off the political scene for a few years, previously serving as a member of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD).

However, his beginnings are far from his current party since, like several of his fellow party members, he started his political career in the ranks of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

He entered politics in 1987, being part of the “Democratic Current” of the PRI, PARM, PSD and PMS. He then joined the ranks of the National Democratic Front, which is the antecedent movement of the PRD, a party of which he is a founding member.

Among the positions he has held as a civil servant, those of deputy stand out in 1987 and 2000. He was also mayor of Acapulco from 2005 to 2008. In the 2018 elections, with Morena, he became a senator. In addition, this is the third time he has run for the governor of Guerrero: he was a candidate in the 1993 and 1999 state elections, without any success.

In addition, around 2001 he starred in the autobiographical film 'Guerrero' by director Benjamín Escamilla, which talked about the political-social history of that entity. He also ventured into the media, since he was editor of the newspaper La Jornada in its edition of the state of Guerrero, from 2009 to December 2017.
