The former presidential candidate for Alliance for Progress (APP), César, said that his group will not attend the call for the National Accord on March 26 announced by President Pedro Castillo.
Through his Twitter account, he indicated that it seems to them “inappropriate” that this event was organized with representatives of different member sectors two days before the debate and vote on the motion presidential vacancy against Pedro Castillo.
“To convene the National Accord in the midst of a presidential vacancy process seems to us to be an inappropriate and untimely measure. The resulting commitments can confuse citizens. That is why I announce that APP will not attend this call, in protection of due process,” he said.

It was previously announced that the president of the Council of Ministers, Aníbal Torres, would be calling on political parties related to the Government, regional governors and mayors to count with them for the meeting scheduled for Saturday.
ABOUT THE VACANCY MOTION
Pedro Castillo replied that he will attend next Monday, March 28, the Congress of the Republic to offer his disclaimers after the approval of the debate on the presidential vacancy motion.
He replied that he will go where he is summoned. “I have to go where I am summoned. If I am summoned to the tip of the hill I will go. I didn't come here to steal a penny,” he said.
On March 14, parliamentarians from various benches admitted to debate the vacancy motion against President Pedro Castillo. 76 congressmen voted for admission, while 41 parliamentarians voted against it. There were also 2 congressmen without an answer, two absences and one abstention.
The Peru-Libre parliamentary group voted against with 27 votes and one abstention, Fuerza Popular voted in favor, with 23 votes, Acción Popular also voted in favor with 13 votes and Alianza Para El Progreso in the same way.
ALBERTO FUJIMORI
Acuña ruled upon hearing the decision of the Constitutional Court, after they ruled in favor of former President Alberto Fujimori and granted him pardon.
Far from criticizing that decision, the well-known politician was in favor of the agreement and asked the population to respect that action. This comment was expressed, after the marches that took place in the capital asking for this verdict to be annulled.
Although it sounds contradictory, Cesar Acuña said that he supports the claims and the various manifestations of the families of the victims of the massacres in Barrios Altos and La Cantuta, because their pain must also be respected. He also recalled that the Executive has the option of using international bodies to review Fujimori's case.
“The Constitutional Court is a relevant body that has approved habeas corpus; in that sense, I think it will now depend on the action that President Castillo will take,” he told Exitosa's chambers.
On the other hand, he indicated that despite the investigations, “no one can endorse the acts of corruption and behavior” of the former President of the Republic, Fujimori Fujimori. In the same context, he recalled that the former president is “in poor health”.
“No one can endorse acts of corruption, Fujimori's behavior, but we also see human action, I think the Lord is very delicate and perhaps it was the reason for the humanitarian pardon,” he said.
Finally, he considered that Congress should elect new members of the TC, as soon as possible, in order to avoid political discussions and suspicions about the decisions of the highest constitutional body, since five judges have already expired their terms.
“I think the last Congress and this Congress should have already elected the new members of the TC and now there are the suspicions that have delayed and, therefore, it is politicized,” he said.
