Adrián Uribe revealed to have been hired to give a private show for a supposed businessman, but in reality it turned out to be an event of a narco leader.
In the new episode of the podcast La Cotorrisa, Adrian Uribe recalled the day when he feared for his life when he arrived at a party where he had to strive to make an audience that was easy to deal with, but difficult to get used to, because the host would have been a “top” criminal.
At the event there would be more people protecting the guests than guests and, in addition, he realized that they would be a difficult audience because the moment the person everyone was waiting for arrived, he recognized that he was an important kingpin and he felt very nervous.
“There were more people at the top than at the bottom, there were 30 people who were watching me, and it turns out I was an entrepreneur, but I didn't ask what kind of product I was selling (...) Suddenly they tell me: 'The pattern is coming, 'and yes, it turns out that it was one of the top ones, and I said: 'My mother, what am I doing here?' , but you can't say no. '”, recalled the comedian.
By not refusing to give his show, because he knew he would get into more trouble if he didn't, he just started with the routine he had prepared, which was that of traffic police Poncho Aurelio.
Although he thought he might have the situation under control, in the middle of one of his jokes he realized that it was probably not the best choice of monologue because he would talk about a marijuana seizure, but he managed to make his audience laugh thanks to the way the joke ended.
“I with the traffic policeman, and in a routine, with my plastic gun, I well goat, I said: 'I am safe here. And until I start saying my routine, I realize one of the parts of my routine, what I was talking about (...) 'They sent us to do an operation and we seized 10 kilos of marijuana 'and in that, mother, I realize what I was saying (...) 'My commander tells us that we have to burn it... and it's time we didn't finish it, '” said the actor.
Adrián confessed that since then he has preferred not to do shows at private parties, as it was an experience that did frighten him. He also recalled that he had other bad experiences because of his jokes, so he acknowledged that sometimes being a comedian is not the safest profession.
Poncho Aurelio is one of the characters he is most afraid to play because he wears a real police suit and because on one occasion he was hired to do a routine with that role on the birthday of a former army general, who got upset and, as he said, wanted to kill him when he saw him as a policeman.
However, Uribe acknowledged that he has also had pleasant presentations, such as the occasion when he was invited to do a routine for Vicente Fox when he was president of Mexico and Enrique Peña Nieto when he was going to run for president.
