12 suspected criminals were captured in Tocancipá for different crimes

The municipal authorities took stock of the beatings inflicted against crime by the National Police

Thanks to the increase in the foot of force for security managed by the municipal government, and in the development of the Public Policy on Security and Citizen Coexistence, the authorities were able to capture 12 suspected criminals accused of different types of crimes such as theft, microtrafficking and sexual abuse.

One of the most recent cases was carried out by agents of the Prosecutor's Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) who captured an individual on whom an arrest warrant was weighing for the alleged crime of abusive sexual act with a minor under 14 years of age.

The victim would be a relative of the alleged aggressor and in fact there would be participation of another relative. The prisoner was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority that issued the arrest warrant.

In another similar event, the municipal authorities managed to capture a subject whom a woman pointed out for the alleged crime of sexual abuse. The facts arose when, during patrolling, several members of the police identified the requests for help of a woman who had been fleeing the alleged aggressor. The person captured was left at the disposal of the competent authority.

The authorities also confirmed that, thanks to information provided by the community, members of SIJIN and SIPOL captured a subject in flagrante for the alleged crime of manufacturing or carrying narcotics.

In the raid in which the capture was carried out and which was carried out in an apartment in the Torres de San Juan urbanization, 120 doses of bazuco and a grass tree were found.

The evidentiary material was made available to the competent authority and the prisoner, after the judicialization hearing, was given a measure of assurance in the prison.

The Municipal Mayor's Office also confirmed that, in recent hours, members of the National Police attached to the Tocancipá Station captured three individuals who were mobilizing in a car from Zipaquirá, and that minutes earlier they had assaulted two citizens by taking away a high-end telephone and cash.

The police procedure was given thanks to the timely appeal of the citizens and the immediate reaction of the uniformed.

This action resulted in the recovery of the stolen items and the seizure of a traumatic pistol-type weapon, as well as the immobilization of the vehicle, while the three captured subjects were placed at the disposal of the competent authority.

Four subjects were also left before the judicial authorities and were captured when they intended to steal construction elements valued at more than nine million pesos.

The victim of the theft that occurred in the village of La Esmeralda, made an urgent appeal to the police and thanks to the timely reaction of the uniformed men, the alleged robbers were captured and the stolen items were recovered.

On the other hand, members of the National Police managed to capture in flagrante a subject in the Verganzo village who, according to information provided by the community, was stealing various elements in roads and parks in the municipality.

The captive was surprised when he was removing a grid from the sewage system. This subject also carried other elements such as road separators and parts of children's games.

Police actions are complemented by operations to control commercial establishments and informal sales, patrols, recovery of public space and surveillance in critical areas of the municipality.

“All these captures are made thanks to the collaboration of our community and the timely reaction of the police and the intelligence and criminal investigation agencies. From the Mayor's Office we remain committed to the security of our municipality and will continue working to obtain this type of results,” said Mayor Andrés Porras in statements to the media to account for the security balance in the Cundinamarque municipality.
