Weather in Mexico for March 22: heavy rains in the east, south and southeast of the territory

The weather forecast for this Wednesday, March 23, predicts the presence of heavy rains and showers in entities such as Yucatan, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche and Chiapas. It is estimated that they are accompanied by electrical activity. All in consequence of the passage of the cold front number 38, in interaction with a low-pressure channel.

According to the National Weather Service, in the north of the country a polar trough and the polar jet stream will generate the possibility of snow and sleet falling in some areas of Chihuahua and Coahuila. In central states such as San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Hidalgo, Queretaro or Guanajuato, strong gusts of wind are expected, as well as hoppers

Mexico will record minimum temperatures of up to -10º C in mountainous areas of Chihuahua and Durango, and up to -5º C in Sonora, Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas and Hidalgo. In contrast, the highs will go up to 45°C in Jalisco, Morelos, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas, and up to 40°C in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, San Luis Potosi, Nayarit, Colima, Michoacán, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Queretaro, Puebla, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

CDMX and Valle de México: Fresh morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures in the morning with frost at dawn in areas of the State of Mexico. Clear skies and no rain. In the afternoon, temperate to warm atmosphere. Hot afternoon temperatures in areas of southwestern Mexico State.

In Mexico City, a minimum temperature of 12 to 14° C and a maximum of 26 to 28° C are forecast. For the capital of the State of Mexico, a minimum temperature of 1 to 3° C and a maximum of 21 to 23° C.

Baja California Peninsula: Clear sky during the day and no rain. Cool morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures in the morning in mountain areas of Baja California. In the afternoon, warm to warm atmosphere.

North Pacific: Partly cloudy sky, no rain. Cool morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures in the morning in Sierras de Sinaloa and very cold with frosts at dawn in the mountains of Sonora, accompanied by frosts at dawn. In the afternoon, warm to warm atmosphere.

Central Pacific: Partly cloudy sky and no rain. Cool morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures over Michoacán mountains, accompanied by frosts at dawn in high areas of Jalisco. Warm to hot atmosphere in the afternoon, with very hot temperatures in areas of Jalisco.

South Pacific: Cloudy sky with heavy occasional rains in Chiapas and heavy rain in Oaxaca, accompanied by electric shocks and possible hail fall. No rain in Guerrero. Cool to temperate morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures in the morning over mountains and in the afternoon warm to hot environment. Very hot temperatures in areas of Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Gulf of Mexico: Cloudy sky during the day. Heavy rains, electric shocks and possible hail falls in Veracruz and Tabasco. No rain in Tamaulipas. Temperate to cool morning atmosphere with fog banks in the western and southern mountains of the region. Cold temperatures in the mountains of Tamaulipas and Veracruz.

Yucatan Peninsula: Cloudy afternoon sky with heavy occasional rains with likely hail fall in Campeche, showers in Yucatan and isolated rains in Quintana Roo. Cool to temperate morning atmosphere and warm in the afternoon, with hot temperatures in areas of Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

Mesa del Norte: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a chance of showers in San Luis Potosí, as well as isolated rains in Chihuahua and Coahuila. Cool morning atmosphere. Cold to very cold temperatures in the morning in mountain areas of Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas and freezing temperatures in the mountains of Chihuahua and Durango. Frosts at dawn in mountain areas and possibility of snow or sleet falling in northeastern Chihuahua and northern Coahuila. In the afternoon, temperate to warm atmosphere.

Mesa Central: Cloudy sky with heavy occasional rains with electric shocks and possible hail fall in Puebla and showers in Hidalgo, with probable hail falling, as well as isolated rains in Querétaro. Partly cloudy sky and no rain in the rest of the region.

Cool morning atmosphere. Cold temperatures in the morning in areas of Tlaxcala, accompanied by frost in areas of Guanajuato and Puebla, as well as very cold temperatures with frost in the mountains of Hidalgo. In the afternoon, temperate to warm atmosphere. Hot afternoon temperatures in areas of Hidalgo, Querétaro and Puebla and very hot in areas of Morelos.
